another heartwarming story – without being saccharin or OTT – a beautiful balance of empathetic story telling.

The reader is teased along – thinking that the mian character is never going to get a chance with the lass in question – but through a twist of fete, presented the most important decision and choice he had made so far…. to go against what he had learnt on the streets and ignore the noise – or to investigate.

The character grew in leaps and bounds after this and the reader rewarded with hope by the end of the narrative.

an enjoyable read.

Very sweet story, been really fond of zero-to-hero stuff. I especially like the way at the end when he spared his last dollar to the man. Even in the worst moment, he did something good. Nice job!

A good voice in this piece. First person worked very well. I loved the details, the contrasts you highlight – perfect teeth, alley dirt.

And a complete beginning, middle, end all in 990 words.
