wonderfully woven, involving the reader as one of the participants who misunderstand the situation. I particular like the reference to the dance moves as a martial art and one of survival - something that many people often forget when viewing certain cultural dances.

Your storytelling is brutal, honest and convincing.

My entry for FF this week is here - http://annieevett.blogspot.com/2009/07/dream-catcher.html

Brutal story. The ending left me wanting to follow Cara and see how she would take her revenge. The depections of action and violence were well done.

Well, I didn't see that ending from that beginning. Very, very powerful. Thank you for the glimpse into Cara and her mother's world.

Her mother raised a young tigress, but, as an earlier comment mentioned, the circle of violence and vengeance continues. Very real. Very well told.

That was interesting, I like how you paced the reveal of what the "dance" was piece by piece. Very well-paced.

My own FF submission:

I look forward to reading what's next. It's a great story. I hadn't even noticed it had run long until I read your note at the end... I was caught up in it ;-)

Really liked that. Dragged you in thinking one thing then it all twists round. Just my kind of story. What happens next????

I like how this came full circle, creating the need for Cara to continue on in her mother's footsteps but now driven by the same wrench of vengeance that churned her mother all those years.

Good drama, Chris. You took that writing prompt and went way beyond a simple misunderstanding. More like bone-deep revenge. Thanks for sharing you work.
